Jim McGuinness' memoir, Until Victory Always, is the Bord Gáis Energy Sports Book of the Year.

The 2012 All-Ireland winning manager's book saw off competition from Henry Shefflin - The Autobiography, The White Heat: My Autobiography by former Kerry footballer Tomás Ó Sé, ex-Ireland soccer goalkeeper Packie Bonner's The Last Line, Peter Stringer's autobiography Pulling The Strings and Sean McGoldricks's story of Irish Olympic boxing, Punching Above Their Weight, at last night's Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards in Dublin's Double Tree Hilton Hotel.

The awards were presented by RTÉ broadcaster Keelin Shanley and guest presenters Rick O'Shea and Sean Rocks. Highlights from the ceremony will be broadcast on RTÉ One on Saturday at 11.15pm.

Voting was open to the public.
