Donegal senior football manager Rory Gallagher has added twelve new players to his squad for the 2016 season.

Gallagher is clearly looking to the future as eleven of the new men are U21s.

Declan Bonner's Donegal minor team reached last year's All-Ireland MFC final and seven of those players have been parachuted into Gallagher's senior squad.

It is also believed that none of the more senior players in the Donegal ranks are going to announce their retirements ahead of the forthcoming season.

The new names in the squad are: Danny Rodgers, Stephen McMenamin, Kieran Gillespie, Michael Carroll, Eoin Ban Gallagher, Ciaran Thompson, Stephen McBrearty, Caolan McGonigle, Jack O'Brien, Tony McClenaghan, Rory Carr and Caolan Ward.
