Man of the match Kevin Downes highlighted Na Piarsaigh's big-match experience as being a decisive factor in their 1-22 to 4-12 victory over Patrickswell in the Limerick SHC final.
A late replacement for the injured David Breen, Downes went on to score 1-5 for the city side who have now won three county titles in five years.
"We're delighted, we are absolutely delighted. It was a savage battle, we knew it was going to be," he told the Limerick Leader.
"Just to get over the line we are absolutely thrilled. We are going to celebrate this long into the night tonight so I'm really looking forward to that.
"That's the experience," he said of Na Piarsaigh's recovery from the concession of two Diarmuid Byrnes penalties at the start of the second half.
"It was all going wrong at the start of the second half. The momentum was really with Patrickswell but we just kept on task and did the simple things."
Na Piarsaigh manager Shane O'Neill, meanwhile, wondered why some people continue to question his side's character after all the success they've had in recent years.
"I think it's amazing when lads that have now won three county titles and two Munster titles still have their character questioned. I don't know what they are supposed to do but all we can do is keep winning and win what is in front of us. That is what we have been doing," he said.
