Mick Lawlor will line out in Sunday week's Laois SFC final just shy of his 43rd birthday after helping Emo to a 3-8 to 0-8 victory over Arles-Kilcruise in last night's semi-final replay at O'Moore Park.

The former county star sent Emo on their way to a showdown with nine-in-a-row chasing Portlaoise by scoring an early goal. Brian Gorman added another to leave the winners 2-4 to 0-6 clear at the break.

A third goal from Paul Lawlor in the second half sealed the win for an Emo side who have turned their season around in remarkable fashion after suffering a heavy first round defeat to The Heath.
