Monaghan Harps and Scotstown will contest the Mick Duffy Cup decider following their respective semi-final wins over Clontibret and Castleblayney Faughs.

In Scotstown yesterday, Harps ended Clontibret's reign with a 2-12 to 1-10 victory to qualify for their first county final since 1991. A Feargal McMahon penalty helped the county town side to a 1-6 to 1-4 interval lead after Conor Boyle had raised an early green flag for the holders.

County star Dessie Mone's dismissal on a second yellow card proved to be a huge blow to Clontibret as Harps closed out the win with a Michael Galligan goal 12 minutes from the end.

Scotstown booked their place in the final on Saturday evening by accounting for Castleblayney on a 1-14 to 1-8 scoreline in Clontibret. The winners led by 0-7 to 0-2 at the break and put the result beyond doubt when sub Brian McGinnitty goaled with his first touch 10 minutes into the second half.
