It appears that reports stating that Glenn Ryan will be the next Kildare senior football manager are wide of the mark.
The Lilywhites have been on the lookout for a new manager since Jason Ryan stepped down in the wake of their 27-point drubbing by Kerry in this year's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final.
It has been reported that two-time Leinster winning captain Ryan, who is currently in charge of Laois outfit Arles-Kilcruise, was on the verge of filling the vacancy but that's not the case according to Leinster Leader sports editor Tommy Callaghan...
