Cats' full back line concerns Comerford

Andy Comerford has raised concerns about Kilkenny's new-look full back line ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland hurling final.

The 2002 All-Ireland winning captain fears Joe Canning and co. could exploit the Cats' lack of experience in this department.

"I think our full back line is a bit naive. They haven't as much experience as we would like," Comerford said at a Guinness preview night in Galway.

"Kilkenny were going in there last year with JJ Delaney, Jackie Tyrrell and Paul Murphy. This year, Tyrrell doesn't look like he is going to be playing, so we have a new full back."

The former Kildare manager also took a swipe at Kilkenny's arch-rivals Tipperary by claiming they cave in under pressure.

"When the pressure comes on, they just cave. They had a lot of opportunities to beat Kilkenny in 2014. when it came to the crunch against Galway and they were hit hard, they just fell asunder," he added.
