Diarmuid Connolly isn't giving up hope of being eligible to play in Saturday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final replay.

The Irish Examiner is reporting that the Dublin forward will take his case to the Central Appeals Committee (CAC) this evening after the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) decided to uphold his one-match suspension. The ban was imposed on the St. Vincent's clubman after he received a straight red card in the closing stages of last Sunday's drawn semi-final after tangling with Mayo's Lee Keegan.

It's believed the Dublin county board are prepared to go to the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA) if Connolly has no joy with his latest appeal tonight.
