Midfielder Tom Parsons says Mayo are in "a good place" ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland SFC semi-final replay against Dublin.

The Connacht champions dug deep to wipe out a seven point deficit in the closing stages of last Sunday's drawn encounter and, speaking to The Examiner, the Charlestown clubman said: "There's always question marks wondering how will we perform when we are in the trenches.

"It is a sign of good character.

"The games we've won this year we've been reasonably comfortable leading into the last quarter so this was a completely different territory.

"But that comes back to playing each play and sticking to our process and if that doesn't change, then the scoreboard should really reflect it.

"We're back to square one. We're in a good place. It was great to show fight at the end but there was a lot of errors that we had, particularly misses in the third quarter."
