Tipperary's Brendan Cummins was crowned M Donnelly All-Ireland Poc Fada champion for a record ninth time at Annaverna in the Cooley Mountains today.

However, the event was overshadowed by a dispute over the final score in the senior camogie competition. Galway's Catriona Daly and six-time winner Patricia Jackman from Waterford were the two competitors in contention, but no winner was announced.

Cummins completed the course with 57 pucks, finishing just ahead of Laois goalkeeper Eoin Reilly and Andrew Fahey from Clare. Galway's James Skehill was fourth. It was the former All Star goalkeeper's fifth title on the trot and ninth since 2004.

The U16 winners were Shaun Murray (Waterford) and Sarah Healy (Galway).
