Cork GAA have paid tribute to former St Finbarr's, Cork and Munster hurler Charlie Cullinane who sadly passed away on Tuesday.

"The Barrs stalwart represented his club, county and province with distinction," reads a statement issued by Cork GAA.

"A holder of four county senior hurling championship medals with St Finbarr's, Charlie Cullinane lined out at centre forward with Cork in the 1970 All Ireland final defeating Wexford in the first eighty minute decider.

"Earlier that year he picked up a Railway Cup winners medal with Munster and also held National Hurling League titles from '69 and '70.

"We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Marie and extended family.
