Armagh and Roscommon will contest this year's Nicky Rackard Cup final on Saturday, June 6 in Croke Park.

The Orchard County got the better of Donegal in today's semi-final at the Athletic Grounds on a scoreline of 1-19 to 1-12 while Roscommon got the better of holders Tyrone by 1-16 to 0-14.

Armagh laid the foundations for their victory in the first-half as Eoin McGuinness' goal boosted them into a 1-9 to 0-5 half-time lead.

Ronan McDermott pulled a goal back for Donegal after the resumption but the team from the north west had left themselves with too big a mountain to climb.

Meanwhile, in Carrickmore, Adrian Murphy's second-half goal was the decisive score as the Rossies gained revenge for last year's defeat at the same stage by the Red Hands.

The sides went in level at the break on nine points apiece and Murphy's green flag swung the fixture in his side's favour.

Elsewhere, Longford secured their Nicky Rackard status with a 2-20 to 2-16 extra-time victory over Louth in Mullingar.

The two teams finished level - Longford 0-15, Louth 1-12 - at the final whistle of normal time and Joe O'Brien goaled early in extra-time to send the midlanders on the road to victory.

The result means Louth will now face a promotion/relegation battle against the Lory Meagher Cup winners.
