David Breen has emerged as an injury worry for Limerick's Munster SHC opener against Clare on May 24.

The attacker was forced to retire with an ankle injury in the closing stages of Na Piarsaigh's 3-13 to 2-14 Limerick SHC first round win over Doon at the weekend. Breen, who scored two goals, has already missed some of this season with a similar injury.

On the plus side, All Star defender Seamus Hickey made his return from a hamstring injury to lined out in Murroe-Boher's one-point loss to South Liberties, while Kevin Downes made his first appearance of the season as a second half sub for Na Piarsaigh after recovering from a knee problem.
