O'Boyle boost for Derry

Antrim's Kevin O'Boyle with Derry's Cailean O'Boyle at Casement Park.

Derry have received a boost ahead of their Ulster SFC quarter-final against Down on June 7 with the return of Cailean O'Boyle to the panel.

Gaelic Life reports that the talented attacker from Lavey made his return to action in yesterday's SF challenge against Antrim, which marked the official opening of Loup's new pitch. It was O'Boyle's first involvement with Brian McIver's squad since he departed for America in the wake of last year's Ulster SFC exit at the hands of Donegal.

The Oak Leafers were relegated to Division 2 of the Allianz League last month and are eager to make amends in the championship.
