What a day yesterday was for Waterford hurling.
The Deise were crowned Allianz Hurling League champions for the first time since 2007 following an emphatic victory over Cork at Thurles. At the same time, former manager Michael Ryan and another Waterford man, Kevin Ryan, were celebrating Leinster SHC first round wins with Westmeath and Antrim respectively.
