Today's double-header in Mullingar involving the Carlow hurling and camogie teams will be of particular interest to five families.

The Nolan, Byrne, Kinsella, English and Brennan clans will be represented in both games, while for Mark Brennan it promises to be an especially hectic afternoon as he manages the camogie team and also plays for the hurlers. Mark's sister Emma is part of the camogie side that will face Dublin in the National League Division 3 final at 1.30pm. The Leinster SHC round-robin clash between Carlow and Westmeath will follow at 3.30pm.

Representing the Nolans will be John Michael, Kate and Breege; Eddie, Diarmuid and Eimear will fly the flag for the Byrnes, as will Aine and James for the Kinsellas. The fifth family with a dual interest are the English's, who will have David and Gillian in action.
