Jim Gavin was delighted with Dublin's approach to the Allianz League final.

The Dubs produced their best performance of the season so far to rout Cork and complete their first ever three-in-a-row of Division 1 titles.

"We got a bit of a performance today which we are happy with. We're delighted we got the result," Gavin told RTE Radio's 'Sunday Sport'.

"We went after it, to try and be a bit more clinical. We would be disappointed with the goals we conceded if I'm being honest and that wouldn't be good enough in a couple of weeks' time (against either Offaly or Longford in the Leinster SFC).

"We'll enjoy this evening and then look forward towards championship."

The Dublin manager added: "Defence is a part of every team's gameplan and it's the same for Dublin despite the perception that we're very cavalier and off-the-cuff. We pride ourselves in our defence.

"We do if we can play an expansive game."
