Mickey Harte was back at Tyrone training last night but he faces an anxious wait to see if his captain Sean Cavanagh will be fit for their Ulster SFC clash against Donegal on Sunday, May 17.

Harte underwent a surgical procedure at the beginning of the month and was absent from the sideline for their league draw with Kerry.

He made a welcome return to training last night but question marks have emerged over former Footballer of the Year Cavanagh's fitness.

The Irish Independent reports that the Moy clubman is currently on crutches as he is recuperating from a troublesome knee injury that required a minor corrective procedure last week.

It is understood, however, that Cavanagh is confident he will be in a position to resume training shortly to continue his preparations for the crucial clash against the Anglo Celt Cup holders.
