Roscommon manager Mark Dowd insists his players won't be burdened by supporters' expectations in today's All-Ireland U21FC semi-final against Tyrone.

Having won four of the last six Connacht U21 titles, hopes are high that Roscommon can take the next step and finally get their hands on an All-Ireland.

"We knew even from last year that this team would be with a fair shot of maybe getting back to the latter stages of the competition. The public probably did put their own expectation on it," Dowd said.

"But we had our own expectation as well. We're getting to those stages now. The likes of spectators, it's great for them to get these days out, but it doesn't put extra pressure on us. We're happy enough with where we are."
