Down football fans will be left disappointed by the news that they won't see Marty Clarke in the red and black jersey in 2015.
The 2010 All-Star returned from Aussie Rules late last year but he has since revealed he is suffering from a rare illness called Addison's Disease which affects the adrenal glands.
He told Newstalk last night he won't be part of Jim McCorry's plans in the coming months but harbours ambitions of playing inter-county football in 2016.
"It looks like I'll just concentrate on the club this year and won't make it back with Down until next year," he revealed.
