Mullingar musician Bressie has congratulated Westmeath after they secured their first Allianz Football League victory in nearly two years at Laois' expense this afternoon.
The former Mullingar Shamrocks and Westmeath footballer, whose real name is Niall Breslin, was delighted to see the Tom Cribbin era begin with a 1-12 to 0-10 victory over a Laois side who had Padraig McMahon and Brendan Quigley sent off in the second half. It was the Lake County's first win in the league since March 2013 when they edged out Armagh to secure promotion to Division 1.
TweetGreat result for @westmeath_gaa today after all that happened. @gerryhussey embracing the chaos ;)
