Kildare manager Jason Ryan has heaped praise on the county's supporters.

Despite it only being the month of January, thousands have turned out to follow the Lilywhites in the O'Byrne Cup which has seen the defending champions reach the final once again.

And Ryan is in awe of the amount of support that the county has, especially at this time of year.

"When I was in Waterford, we didn't get the numbers for championship games that Kildare get for the O'Byrne Cup," Ryan told the Leinster Leader. "The support is absolutely fantastic and the players really appreciate their support."

Kildare now face Dublin in the O'Byrne Cup final this Sunday and that is sure to bring out even more supporters and officials have announced that the decider will be all ticket.
