The traditional New Year's Day Final for the Kukri Sports Ulster Minor Club Football Tournament at the St Paul's club in Belfast will see Cavan champions Southern Gaels take on three in-a-row winners Watty Grahams from Derry.

The Gaels, who are an amalgamation of Lacken and Gowna, overcame Burren from Down on December 26 by 2-8 to 1-8 after a high-quality affair played in difficult conditions.

Southern Gaels are the first Cavan team to reach the decider since Cavan Gaels in 2006 and there has not been a Cavan winner at St Paul's for fifteen years.
