Rory Gallagher has named his first panel as Donegal senior football manager ahead of the Dr McKenna Cup opener away to Derry.

13 new faces are included as Gallagher aims to use the subsidiary competition to throw an eye over the players available to him.

Amongst those called up to the panel are Eoin McHugh and Ciaran McGinley (Kilcar), Ryan Marley (Ardara), Kevin McBrearty (Four Masters), Gary 'Copper' McFadden, Eamon Ward and Joe Gibbons (Glenswilly), Mark Anthony McGinley and Daniel McLaughlin (St Michael's), Conor Parke (St Eunan's), Cory Gallagher (Dungloe), Willie Gillespie (Naomh Colmcille).

Gallagher is due to meet with the players on December 29th.
