Ken McGrath will return to hurling next year as manager of his beloved Mount Sion.

The Waterford legend, who underwent open heart surgery last April, was ratified as Sion's new manager in succession to Anthony Kirwan at last night's AGM. Kirwan brought Sion to their first Waterford SHC final in eight years this autumn, only to lose to city rivals Ballygunner.

McGrath's selectors will be Jamie O'Meara and Paul Hammond.
