Stephen Hunt has challenged Joe Brolly to name a GAA player who would compete against him in a skills competition next summer.
The Ipswich Town and Republic of Ireland star's challenge comes after Brolly hit back in today's Irish News at his claim that GAA players wouldn't cut it in the Premier League. The RTE pundit reckoned that Hunt wouldn't have lasted five minutes in last Sunday's Ulster club SFC final between Slaughtneil and Omagh St. Enda's.
The standoff took another twist this afternoon when Hunt, while responding to a tweet from Sunday Independent sports editor John Greene, suggested that he would be up for a challenge involving soccer, hurling and Gaelic football skills. Perhaps Joe will nominate himself for the duel.
@johnjgreene @JoeBrolly1993 if he names a player for a test in all skills that plays today would be up for it in summer?all for good cause
