Eamonn Fitzmaurice has clarified that he wasn't overlooked for the GAA/GPA All Star tour in Boston.

The Kerry All-Ireland winning manager explained on twitter that he was asked to manage the 2014 All Star team, but couldn't travel because of work commitments.

It seems that the wording of the GAA's press release, "Due to the inability of Jim McGuinness to travel James Horan will replace him as 2014 Team Manager and Jim Gavin will act as 2013 Team Manager," led some to think that Fitzmaurice had somehow been overlooked for the trip.

The touring party departed Dublin Airport this morning for the exhibition game which will take place in the Irish Cultural Centre, Canton, Boston on Saturday at 1.30pm local time.
