Slaughtneil defender Brendan Rogers is eager to make his first appearance in the Ulster club SFC this weekend.
And what a game, the 20-year-old would make his entrance as Slaughtneil prepare for the provincial final against Tyrone champions Omagh.
Having pulled his hamstring in an under-21 club match before the Ulster club campaign started, Rogers has been focused on his recovery and he admitted to the County Derry Post that he is almost back to full fitness.
"Hopefully, I'll be ok," said Rogers. "I'd like to play in the final, anyway. I'd like to make myself available. These things don't come around too often."
He added: "We're a strong outfit. We've strength in depth with the under-21 team as well. It's just a matter of young boys stepping up."
