Redevelopment work at Cusack Park gets green light

Cusack Park in Ennis is to get a €2.3m face lift.

The news was revealed at last night's County Board meeting, according to The Irish Daily Star, and will result in the stadium's capacity being increased to 20,000.

Croke Park and Munster Council chiefs will providing funding to the tune of €700,000 for the redevelopment work.

Banner bosses will have to borrow €800,000 and repayments will be made over 10 years.

Clubs are set to be hit with levies to help finance the project.
