Colm Begley wants to bring the Cormac McAnallen Cup back to Ireland.

The Laois man was one of Ireland's stars during last weekend's ten-point International Rules Test defeat to Australia in Perth and is already looking forward to next year's series:

"Obviously, I want a chance to regain the Cormac McAnallen Cup," the ex Brisbane Lion states in The Irish Daily Star. "The players have never wavered regarding wanting the series.

"You only get one chance to play for your country; you give me a jersey for Irish table tennis and I'll wear an Irish jersey.

"The Aussie boys are the same. I think if you brought it to America they'd love it there too.

"They are on about bringing it to New York or Boston. I think it would be a massive occasion. I think the two teams would go out there for a two-game series as really professional outfits and they would be two massive games."
