Colm Collins insists Cratloe's large contingent of dual stars will have no problem motivating themselves for next Sunday's Munster club SHC final against Kilmallock, despite the exertions and disappointment of yesterday's Munster club SFC semi-final extra-time loss to The Nire.

Speaking to the Irish Examiner as the Cratloe players headed to Dungarvan Park Hotel swimming pool for a recovery session, the football boss said: "Extra-time wasn't ideal, but they have a week to recover now and hopefully they can go out and do themselves justice next Sunday.

"The Munster final is a big event so I don't think there is any problem with that. They will be fine. That will be done and dusted. It's behind us now.

"It's great to be beaten in a Munster semi-final one day and have a Munster final to look forward to the next week."

Collins, who also manages the Clare footballers, wished The Nire all the best in the final against Austin Stacks.

"It was a tough game, you are always going to get a good game of football down here. They are a good side and have a couple of excellent footballers," he added.

"Over the hour and 20 minutes, they were the better team and hopefully they do well in the final."
