Crossmaglen Rangers captain Johnny Hanratty says he and his team mates are relishing the opportunity to make up for last year's disappointing Ulster club SFC campaign.

The Armagh champions suffered a shock defeat to Down counterparts Kilcoo in the provincial quarter-finals after extra-time and they are keen to topple every team that stands in their way this year, according to their skipper, starting with Omagh St Enda's away tomorrow.

"Things didn't go well for us last year and since the team we were beaten, the hunger's been building and building," said Hanratty.

"We have been holding it back but now it's come to crunch time of the year - we're going to have to unleash it. We had a lot of injuries last year and we did awfully well to win the county championship. But after what happened, it feels like we want to play everyone and beat everyone to prove a point, that we are still the team to beat."

Cross' are renowned for coming into their own this time of year and Hanratty is pledging a big performance from them tomorrow at Healy Park.

"Maybe in Armagh there is a fear of losing and the slagging you'd have to listen to," he said. "But once we get into Ulster we can express ourselves and play the way we want people to see us performing."
