Ireland 2-18
Scotland 0-8
(Ireland win series 38-31 on aggregate)

Goals in either half from Westmeath's Eoin Price propelled Ireland to a 16-point victory over Scotland in this evening's second hurling/shinty test at Newry.

Michael Walsh's charges trailed the visitors by nine points going into the clash after finishing on the wrong side of the 3-14 to 2-8 scoreline in Inverness last Saturday.

With Price leading the fight-back, however, the hosts went in at the break today with a 1-6 to 0-4 advantage.

The Westmeath man struck for a second goal after the resumption as the team in green and white denied Ronald Ross's charges a first series win since 2008.

Price was deservedly named the 'man-of-the-match' after the final whistle having also contributed five points to his side's final tally.

Scotland's Kevin Bartlett walked away with that accolade last weekend and, today, he scored all of the visitors eight points from placed balls.
