Kilcormac/Killoughey manager Danny Owens stressed that they have a duty to do well in the Leinster club championship.

Having won their third consecutive Offaly senior hurling championship following a comfortable win over St Ryangh's last Sunday, Kilcormac/Killoughey can now turn their attention to the provincial campaign.

They face the Wexford champions in the opening round, but their opponents won't be known until after this weekend as St Anne's and Shelmaliers must meet in a replay.

Regardless of the opposition, Owens states in the Midland Tribune that they will be going all out to win a competition they have won in recent years.

The former Offaly hurler said: "Now that we are there, we have a responsibility to not only our club but to the county as well to represent them to the best of our abilities and please God we will do that on Sunday week."
