Reilly ruled out of league

October 21, 2014

Manager Davy Nelson shakes hands with referee Colm McManus after O'Mahony's win over Donaghmore Ashbourne in the Meath SFC final at Pairc Tailteann.

Kevin Reilly will play no part in Meath's 2015 national football league campaign.

The Royal County captain is recovering from hip surgery and sat out last weekend's Meath SFC final victory over Donaghmore-Ashbourne. His Navan O'Mahonys manager Davy Nelson has confirmed that Reilly will not feature for the county this Spring:

"He'll play no football in the league," Nelson told The Irish Daily Star. "There was no option about holding it. He had a serious hip problem that needed to be addressed.

"Kevin has missed two championship finals that we've won - that's hard to take."
