Henry Shefflin reckons the younger lads on the Kilkenny squad probably see him as a bit of a dinosaur.

Speaking about the possibility of making himself available for intercounty action again in 2015, the record-breaking Ballyhale Shamrocks legend told Today FM:

"It all depends on how we see ourselves. We see ourselves as young people. The lads on the panel that have me on WhatsApp and all these social media devices probably think I am an ancient man. I am going to see how it goes.

"I am going to have to think long and hard about it over the winter because I am 36 next January. I am fortunate to have four happy and healthy children. You have work commitments as well and you have to think about all these things.

"Last year we were well beaten by Cork in the quarter-final. It looked like that was it for Kilkenny and it looked like that was it for myself. I have been blessed to have worked under a great management team.

"I have had great players with me over different phases, over different spans of my career. They have helped me win All-Ireland medals. They have helped Kilkenny win All-Ireland medals."
