Glenswilly are facing an uphill task to retain their Donegal SFC crown after losing their championship opener to Kilcar.
The Donegal SFC finally got underway at the weekend with a full round of group matches taking place and the big talking point was the champions' 0-6 to 0-9 defeat to Kilcar, who welcomed back Mark McHugh following his recent stint in New York.
In the same group, Colm McFadden bagged 2-5 and Christy Toye scored 1-3 as St. Michael's eased to a 4-10 to 0-6 victory over Bundoran at Dunfanaghy.
A last Brendan McGuire point earned Killybegs a 1-5 apiece draw with Gweedore, cancelling out Gweedore player-manager Kevin Cassidy's earlier effort. Dungloe made a winning start to their campaign at the expense of Termon (0-11 to 0-8).
In the other groups, St. Eunan's avenged last year's shock quarter-final loss to Malin with a 1-17 to 2-6 win, while Dermot 'Brick' Molloy scored 0-5 for Glenties in their 0-10 to 0-8 victory over senior new boys Naomh Muire.
Four Masters and Ardara drew 0-9 apiece, while Sean MacCumhaill's defeated Glenfin by 0-13 to 0-8.
