Last year's beaten finalists Sarsfields walloped Maynooth by 3-22 to 0-12 at St. Conleth's Park yesterday to cruise into the Kildare SFC semi-finals.

It was all over bar the shouting after the Sash bagged three goals in the opening half to take a 3-13 to 0-4 lead into the break. County star Alan Smith kicked some sublime scores for the winners who join their Newbridge rivals Moorefield and Celbridge in the last four.

Holders Moorefield booked their semi-final spot with a 1-11 to 0-10 win over Johnstownbridge in Hawkfield on Friday night. Allenwood will meet Athy in the remaining quarter-final next Friday night at Hawkfield.

Meanwhile, Celbridge have set up a Kildare SHC final showdown with Coill Dubh after seeing off Ardclough 2-20 to 0-13 in yesterday's semi-final.
