Knockmore and Garrymore joined holders Castlebar Mitchels and Ballintubber in the last four of the Mayo SFC yesterday.

A brace of late points from county star Kevin McLoughlin handed Knockmore a surprise 1-13 to 0-14 victory over last year's beaten finalists Breaffy. A Darren McHale goal gave the underdogs a 1-6 to 0-3 interval lead, but Breaffy stormed back to level in the second half through scores from Tommy O'Reilly, Aidan O'Shea, Peter Dravins, Robbie Fadden and Alan Durcan.

However, late points from Ger Gaughan and McLoughlin secured Knockmore's semi-final place against Ballintubber.

Garrymore will meet Castlebar in the other penultimate round tie after four points from Enda Varley inspired them to a 1-14 to 1-12 win over Charlestown, who were without injured county midfielder Tom Parsons.
