Danny O'Reilly, frontman in The Coronas, hit all the right notes as he inspired North London Shamrocks to their first London IFC crown.
Lining out at wing forward, O'Reilly - son of Irish singing sensation Mary Black - bagged 1-2 as St Brendan's were downed on a scoreline of 3-12 to 1-9 in Sunday's decider at The Emerald GAA Grounds.
This is the first major piece of silverware garnered by the club during its ten-year history and the success means they will play senior football for the first time next season.
Better known as the dulcet-toned frontman in Irish indie rock act, The Coronas, who are set to unleash their fourth full-length album this month, O'Reilly - who now resides in Highbury - represented Dublin at minor level in 2003 and played senior club football for Templeogue Synge Street.
