Mark Harte has dismissed reports that he is to join his father Mickey's Tyrone management team.

A local GAA website reported yesterday that Mark was "set to join his father Mickey in the Tyrone senior football backroom team ahead of the 2015 season," following the departures of assistant manager Tony Donnelly and team trainer Fergal McCann.

But Harte, who won an All-Ireland medal with the Red Hands in 2003 and is currently managing Fermanagh kingpins Roslea, has insisted there is no truth whatsoever to the story.

"It will not be happening. It is not on my radar. It is not something I will be pursuing," he said in the Irish News.

Tyrone PRO Eunan Lindsay has also rubbished the report by saying: "Speculation that Mark Harte will be part of the Tyrone backroom team in 2015 is well wide of the mark. Mark Harte will not be part of the set-up.

"The backroom team will be unveiled in due time. There's nothing imminent."
