Hawk-Eye to spur Limerick minors

Limerick minor hurling manager Brian Ryan believes that last year's Hawk-Eye controversy in their All-Ireland semi final defeat to Galway will help motivate them this year.

The Shannonsiders will play the winners of the Galway/Antrim v. Dublin clash at Croke Park Sunday, on August 17th.

Limerick defeated Waterford in the Munster final replay on Tuesday night last to win back to back provincial titles at that level for the first time in their history.

But, Ryan is adamant that they are not done yet and stressed to the Limerick Leader that they have unfinished business in the championship.

"The players themselves and us as a management team feel we have a score to settle. We did believe we were a good enough team to win the All-Ireland last year. It was unfortunate that a 'systems error' as it was called denied us that.

"We expect people in authority to get those issues sorted out. All we can do is play the game of hurling to the best of our ability and that is what we did on the day. That is what we endeavour to do at all stages."
