Time is of the essence as Wexford defender Keith Rossiter battles to be fit for Sunday's All-Ireland SHC qualifier against Limerick.

Rossiter was forced off during the first half of last weekend's win over Waterford after he received a knee in the back and it remains to be seen if he will recover from the knock ahead of the clash against the Shannonsiders.

Wexford are the team of the moment having knocked out Clare and Waterford in the qualifiers so far and they face their fourth game in as many weeks this weekend.

Speaking to the Wexford People, manager Liam Dunne admitted that they were slightly in the dark with regards to the recovery period for Rossiter's injury.

"It's a case of waiting but hopefully, he'll be right," said Rossiter. I thought at first it may have been his hamstring, but thankfully it's not. We are hopeful."
