Sligo full back Johnny Martyn is in a race against time to return to full fitness ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Cork.

Martyn spent last weekend in hospital having complained of feeling unwell at county training. The St Mary's club man had a series of tests done while in there.

The tough tackling defender is now home, but it remains unclear if he will be recovered enough to take his place in the starting line up against the Rebels.

Martyn's absence would be a huge blow to Sligo as he has been impressive throughout this year's campaign having come back from injury earlier in the year.

Sligo go into Saturday's qualifier against Cork at O'Connor Park, Tullamore as massive underdogs and they will be been to have their strongest XV available to them.
