Davy Fitzgerald claims there are forces working against him in Clare.
Speaking after the Banner's dramatic All-Ireland hurling qualifier draw with Wexford on Saturday, Fitzgerald wouldn't elaborate on his comments, though it's believed he was referring to the decision by clubs to proceed with second round games in the county SHC a couple of weeks ago against his wishes.
"The Mickey Mouse stuff that is happening in Clare for the last few weeks is not helping. It's an absolute scandal and I am really hurt with what has happened," he said.
"Any crowd deserves a chance coming into a championship game. We need to stop the messing and support the team."
The All-Ireland winning manager insisted that Clare will travel to Wexford Park for next Saturday's replay in confident mood.
"We are going into the lion's den and I can't wait. It's our turn now," he added.
