Clare manager Eamon Fennessy is disappointed that his side's Munster MHC semi-final against All-Ireland champions Waterford on Wednesday night has been fixed for Fraher Field rather than Walsh Park.

The Scariff man maintains that the game should be played in Waterford's county grounds, noting how Cusack Park had hosted the first round clash between the teams two months ago, which ended in a 1-13 to 0-11 victory for the Deise.

"We showed Waterford respect by giving them our county grounds," Fennessy said in the Clare Champion.

"Over the last few years, we have been them and they have beaten us and we have taken it on the chin. As a manager, I am disappointed that we are not playing in their county grounds. That said, they are All-Ireland champions and worthy champions and they have shown that."
