Corrigan Park, home of St Johns
A 60-year-old stand at the former home of Antrim GAA will be demolished next week.

The stand at Corrigan Park, which hosted all the major GAA games in Belfast before Casement Park was built on the Andersonstown Road in 1953, is facing the wrecking ball after being closed on health and safety grounds for the past number of years.

Corrigan Park is the home of St. John's GAC on Whiterock Road and has been earmarked for redevelopment by the club.

The news comes a week after demolition works commenced at Casement Park to signal the start of the £80 million redevelopment of the West Belfast venue.
