Carlow hurling manager John Meyler will take in Saturday's Premier League game between Fulham and Hull City at Craven Cottage during his visit to London this weekend.

The Barrowsiders open their Leinster SHC round-robin campaign against London in Ruislip on Sunday afternoon, and Meyler will use the opportunity to see his son David in action for Hull against fellow relegation strugglers Fulham.

The Wexford native will return to the English capital on May 17 when Hull City face Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley. He will catch a flight back to Dublin the next morning for Carlow's final round-robin game against Westmeath.

"Win or lose for David, I'll be on the 5.30 plane back the following morning," Meyler stressed in the Irish Independent. Tweet
