Aidan O'Rourke says Louth's priority for the championship is to get their injured stars back on board.

The Wee County were missing key men throughout the Spring and ended up suffering relegation to the third tier of the league, but O'Rourke says it could be a different story in Leinster if his walked wounded recover:

"Our priority is to get Dessie [Finnegan], Colm Judge and Derek Maguire fit and healthy," he notes in The Dundalk Democrat.

"That's our main priority and once we've everybody on the field we'll be in a much stronger position."

The Armagh man admits that slipping out of Division Two was a big disappointment: "No doubt. No more than for ourselves. But it's gone now and there's nothing we can do with regards to the league.

"We've six weeks to prepare for the championship and we've to go back to the clubs. The club league starts on Sunday and they've to go back for a week to prepare for that and that gives us five weeks to get ready for Westmeath."
