Bealin not worried by late fadeouts

Paul Bealin is confident that Westmeath can rectify their tendency for fading out of games in the second half.

The Lake County were relegated straight back to Division 2 last Sunday following their latest second half collapse against Kerry, but Bealin expects a 70-minute performance when they play Louth in the first round of the Leinster SFC next month.

"We'll be stepping up in terms of our training and preparation for the championship," the manager told the Westmeath Independent.

"For the last two years, Westmeath had a fantastic league programme but didn't carry it on in the championship. We wanted to look at it the other way - to try and play against the best teams and learn some systems that suit our play.

"I'm not overly concerned. I do feel when we play Louth we'll be going at it for a full 70 minutes right 'til the end."
